It has been an exciting couple of years for young residents of Lakes of Bella Terra, as two new schools opened their doors for the first time in fall of 2016. Now, its first graduating class is preparing to leave Fulshear's halls and embark on their next chapter.

As a part of Lamar CISD, Fulshear High School was named after Churchill Fulshear, Jr., a soldier of the Texas War for Independence and a member of one of the original 300 families to settle in Texas. Fulshear was a generous landowner who donated land to allow railroad service throughout the area. The high school mascot, The Chargers, is a representation of his love for horses and a symbol of the Churchill Downs Race Track.

The school has received a rating of A+ by Niche, a site that offers easy-to-read and comprehensive report cards, rankings, and reviews to help parents choose the right schools or neighborhoods for them. An average teacher's salary at Flusher High School is $59,772, which is $6,438 more than the state average, according to Texas Tribune. It also has a student-teacher ratio of 12 to 1. We have a "Power Hour" in the middle of the day which combines advisory and lunch times to provide students with an hour to eat anywhere in the main halls of our school, go to tutoring, and attend clubs without having to do so before or after school. Fulshear High school opened in August 2016 with freshman and sophomore classes, and grew to add a grade level each year, with the Class of 2019 as the first graduating class. Watch as these trailblazing seniors reflect on their time as Chargers.
