Schools are one of the most important factors to consider when buying a new home. Even if a community is in a great location with affordable home prices – it still can come down to school district. Which is why we are pleased to share that young residents of Lakes of Bella Terra attend high-achieving school campuses in Lamar CISD.

According to the 2018 state accountability ratings released by the Texas Education Agency, Fulshear High School, Leaman Junior High and Joe Hubenak Elementary each scored higher than the targeted score for every index evaluated. The Texas Education Agency (TEA) uses the accountability system to evaluate the academic performance of Texas public schools.

The highest rating is categorized as Met Standard. This is assigned for overall performance and for performance in each domain to campuses that meet the performance targets. Campuses that receive an accountability rating of Met Standard are eligible to earn distinction designations. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.

Hubenak Elementary pulled some of the most impressive scores in the district, with a total of 5 out of 6 TEA Distinction Designations for the 2017-18 school year.

Leaman Junior High School, a brand new school now in its second year received the highest rating, met standard, in the TEA Accountability Ratings for the 2017-18 school year.

Fulshear High School, a new school now in its third year, surpassed TEA Accountability Rating with three Distinction Designation for Academic Achievement in Mathematics, ELA/Reading and social studies.
