Kabobish Cafe & Grill opened at 5205 S. Mason Road, Ste. 100, Katy in late May. The restaurant specializes in Mediterranean and Afghan dishes offering specialty platters and kabob plates. Grand opening specials will start in mid-July, according to the restaurant owner. 

Victoria’s Mexican Grill & Bar – 7.5 miles 

Victoria’s Mexican Grill & Bar held a grand opening on May 27 at 2300 S. Mason Road, Ste. 100, Katy. The family-owned restaurant provides authentic Mexican food and is open from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday 

Zoners Pizza, Wings and Waffles – 6 miles 

Zoners Pizza, Wings and Waffles will open at 25810 Westheimer Parkway in Katy in mid-August. The pizza and waffle restaurant will serve specialty pizzas such as taco pizzas and a white pizza featuring white sauce, mozzarella, Parmesan and garlic.

Code Ninjas – 5 miles

Code Ninjas Cinco Ranch held a grand opening 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on July 7 at 22167 Westheimer Parkway, Ste. 140, Katy. Code Ninjas provides after-school and summer camp programs, teaching students how to code through a game-based curriculum, logic, math and problem-solving skills. The business offers drop in programs, summer camps, birthday parties and parents night out programs.

KarisMed Family Medicine – 6 miles

KarisMed Family Medicine celebrated its grand opening July 12 at 4011 FM 1463, Ste. B in Katy. KarisMed is a membership-based practice that provides medical services to adults and children with unlimited office visits, 24-hour access, annual exams, no wait times and no deductibles, copays or coinsurance.

Hotworx Fitness – 6 miles

Hotworx celebrated its grand opening June 2 at 1315 Grand Parkway, Ste. 109, Katy. The 24-hour infrared fitness studio has locations all over the U.S. and the Katy location is its sixth Texas location. The studio offers virtually instructed exercise programs while users complete a 30-minute isometric workout or 15-minute high intensity interval training, or HIIT, session, according to the studio’s website.

Yoyo’s Hot Dog – 10 miles

Yoyo’s Hot Dog opened a location May 18 at 15910 Old Richmond Road, Sugar Land. The food truck serves gourmet hot dogs, and business partner Damion Loera recommends customers order their entrees “all the way” with Yoyo’s homemade honey mayo sauce and curry ketchup sauce, fried onions, caramelized onions, cream cheese and Sriracha.
