It’s an exciting time to be living in Richmond. Not only is it an oasis of Texas history and small town charm — but the city is undergoing a period of new growth. Longstanding businesses have been joined by new clothing boutiques, juice bars, art galleries and eateries, along with new economic opportunities and infrastructure improvements.
Joining all of the excitement surrounding Richmond is the highly-anticipated development of an upscale shopping center that will feature roughly 500,000 square feet of retail, restaurant, office, health care and hospitality developments. The best part is that District-West is located just 3 miles from Lakes of Bella Terra, next to the Westpark Tollway.
The entirety of District West should be complete within three to five years, but there is already a great line-up of trendy new places opening soon! Here's what's in store for District West:
Luna Y Sol
Midtown’s Luna Y Sol is opening its second location in a 4,500-square-foot space at District West. The upscale Mexican restaurant will be serving up made-from-scratch authentic Mexican cuisine and cocktails. Inspired by the unique flavors and culture of Mexico Luna y Sol will offer an authentic experience in the heart of Richmond.
Vida Mariscos Seafood & Sports Bar
Los Cucos Mexican Café will open a location of its Vida Mariscos Seafood & Sports Bar concept in District West, featuring palapa decor and weekly entertainment. The festive Mexican eatery and bar will be on the east side of the development in a 7,500-square-foot space with a 1,500-square-foot patio.
Star Cinema Grill
Houston-based Star Cinema Grill has started construction on a 12-screen theater with a state-of-the-art sound with all recliner seating and push-button service. It will also offer craft cocktails, wine and beer and a chef-inspired menu with avocado crostini, roasted garlic hummus, certified Texas Angus beef burgers and gourmet cookies. The theater is scheduled to open early in early 2019!
Whiskey River Dance Hall
Get ready to put your boots on for a new high-energy western-themed dance hall in District West. It’s the perfect place for dancing and drinks featuring a mechanical bull and special events. Whiskey River will be opening their 15,000-square-foot hall this winter!
