As the Grand Parkway paved the way for growth in Fort Bend County, the expansion of the Westpark Tollway is on the way to doing the same.
Westpark Tollway creates an east-west corridor to Houston’s major commerce centers with access to Greater Houston’s financial districts, SH 6, the Sam Houston Tollway/Beltway 8, US 59, and the Galleria.
The expansion project includes adding around two miles of tollway and widening a corresponding length of FM 1093. The second half, will expand FM 1093 for about four additional miles west through the town of Fulshear, where county growth has continued to spread.
There will be a total of eight lanes for commuters, doubling the width of the parkway and potentially cutting commute times in half. Residents of Lakes of Bella Terra will enjoy the benefit of easy access to Houston business centers.
As multiple main and feeder lanes keep traffic moving, it is expected that the developments with spur surrounding commercial growth. Residents of Lakes of Bella Terra will be in even closer to a growing assortment of new unique lifestyle shopping and entertainment options. After all, growth is the word in Fort Bend County.
One new project off of Westpark Tollway is already under construction. Imperial Market will be comprised of 285,000 square feet of upscale retail and restaurant space, 80,000 square feet of office space, 185 room high end boutique hotel and the new home of the Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center.
