As with many roadwork projects, they can seem to drag on and on, especially when the interrupt your usual routes. But in Fort Bend County, the Westpark Tollway is bound to improve your traveling upon completion. According to the Fort Bend County Toll Road Authority website,
"The Westpark Tollway drastically improves mobility for Fort Bend county residents by creating an east-west corridor with access to SH 6, the Sam Houston Tollway/Beltway 8, US 59, and the Galleria Area."
The six miles of tollway in Fort Bend County are operated by the Fort Bend County Toll Road Authority (FBCTRA) and connect the toll road to Grand Parkway in the west. The Texas Department of Transportation operates the four lane frontage road that runs parallel to Westpark Tollway, creating 8 possible lanes of traffic and hopefully alleviating traffic congestion during the troublesome times of day.
For a suburb community like the Lakes of Bella Terra, easier connection to the city is vital for most people. The tollroad expansions are allowing communities like ours to flourish. That way, people can work in Houston, play in Houston, and enjoy all the benefits of a large city while taking advantage of the wide open spaces Texas has to offer.
If you have questions about specific tolls, the steps in the expansion project, or to see some pictures of the progress, the FBCTRA website is a great resource. And if you have questions about the benefits and prospects of living in the wonderful community at the Lakes at Bella Terra, contact us today.
