There’s a brand new retail center coming soon to West Houston! Which means an even bigger variety of great shops and restaurants to choose from, just a few miles from home. The Grand Center at Long Meadow Farms development will be located near Highway 90, the Grand Parkway and Harlem Road – according to a recent article by Houston Business Journal.
The new center will comprise a full 58 acres of development, featuring a 46,000 square-foot two-story multi-use center featuring retail, restaurant, medical, fitness and other tenants. A couple of the businesses lined-up include Members Choice Credit Union, Spring Creek BBQ, Pet Suites, Service First and 7-Eleven. Grand Center also will be next to a 180,000-square-foot Regal Cinema and a 165,000-square-foot Gallery Furniture showroom. Arlington, Texas-based Spring Creek Barbeque is expected to open this year.
The developer will install roads and off-site detention, as well as fully looped utilities in coordination with the municipal utility district. They will also sell other tracts to users who wish to own their property and construct their own building. The project falls under the two areas within Richmond’s borders that were selected as opportunity zones in 2018, which were designed to spur economic development.
“As one of the fastest-growing areas in the state, Fort Bend County is a great location with many business opportunities,” CJ Development Partner John Vassallo said in the press release. “We’re excited about the prospects for Long Meadow Crossing and look forward to curating a great service for the residents of this community.”
The Grand Center is just one of several commercial development activities underway in Fort Bend County – adding to the excitement of Katy Boardwalk, District West, the Village at Katy and Fulshear Marketplace.
